Favorite Harry Potter Books Ever

Yeah I loved the Marauder’s Map too…and finding out how Sirius was his godfather…and about Professor Lupin and the relationship they had with his father…

Of course, I also liked the ending of the 5th book…when Dumbledore finally tells him about the prophecy and all that at the end. And why he wasnt chosen as a prefect.

I liked it when Ginny said to Ron that the best kiss he’d ever had was from their Auntie Muriel.

Then when Ron got all defensive and he said he’d snogged more than that, Ginny asked him if he’d been kissing Pigwidgeon. Or if he had a picture of Auntie Muriel stashed under his pillow.

I can’t say that I liked th whole fifth book, but there is this specfiic sequence of chapters which starts from when Harry sees Mr. Weasley getting attacked by the snake and ends when they find out about Grawp. And I liked reading all of the DA lessons.

Oh, and I also liked the ending too. I love to read about the dueling for some reason.

I never really cared for Grawp. That being said:

Deathly Hallows (last 2 or 3 chapters, zomg!)

Half-Blood Prince (love the Horcrux storyline)

Goblet of Fire (Quidditch World Cup!!!)

Sorcerer’s Stone (Mirror of Erised)

Order of the Phoenix (Angry Harry…)

Prisoner of Azkaban (Hmm…I love time travel, this should be higher)

Chamber of Secrets (meh)

I love all of them but the last one is my favorite except for the epilogue thing I hated that

Why do people dislike the epilogue, anyways?

Book 3 was favorite, but you might guess from my username that I liked 'em all. Still, there were parts that I thought were not quite up to standards of other parts and the whole 5th book annoyed me.

I never managed to get past the first chapter of any of them.

Twilight FTW!

Please Forgive Me This Is A Joke^
I am mocking all fantasy books that make teenage girls dream of nerdy british actors

twilight fans are ridiculous. I might consider reading the books if I didn’t associate them with a horde of preteen girls who post I LOVE ROB OMGZ and THE LOVE OF MY LIFE CUT HIS HAIR (ROB) SOB :frowning: on their facebook status. yeah. not making ^ that up.

Glad someone agrees circumlocution2!

DimitriMArtin, are you confusing books with movies? why would fantasy books make anyone dream of actors?

urgh, i hate twilight.
on the other hand, i’m obsessed with harry potter.
favorite books:

 1. Deathly Hallows (read it in a day, made me cry, overall awesomeness)

Order of the Phoenix (i like how the organized resistance starts. it makes everything seem darker and more serious. and of course, the new characters like Luna were very memorable.)

Goblet of Fire (had action throughout the whole book)

Sorcerer’s Stone (i like action, but the innocence of this one was good)

Prisoner of Azkaban (yay for time travel, Lupin, and Sirius)

Chamber of Secrets (i didn’t like this one as much. don’t know why)

Half Blood Prince (i didn’t like this one so much either. i kept waiting for something new to happen and nothing really did until the very end. usually SOMETHING cool happens in the chapters leading up to the end of the book, but this book didn’t have that.)

I wonder why it is that none of us can really figure out what we don’t like about the Chamber of Secrets.

These books rule my favorite character has to be Eragon, he’s so gentle and thoughtful even though he’s a dragon…

Chamber of Secrets is pretty much a “filler” book, which doesn’t advance the plot like the others do. Maybe that’s why?

I don’t think the story in the chamber of secrets was as good it used to be my favorite when there were only four books out but now looking back it wasn’t that good maybe because I was like 10 then

lol i was just having this conversation today! along with a heated HP vs Twilight argument. HP pwns, btw. :D

Prisoner of Azkaban!!

Goblet of Fire

Sorcerer’s Stone

Order of the Phoenix

Deathly Hallows

Half-Blood Prince

Chamber of Secret

yeah, PoA had an amazing end, I love how everything tied together. but the movie was the worst. :'[ The last two were a lot different from the first 5, I was used to the pattern they followed and was a bit annoyed they were different… but I still <3ed them. I cried so much at the end of HBP, and nonstop through DH. Basically if i could, I’d list #1,3-7 as tying for my first favorite and CoS as 2. yeah i’m not sure what it is about it either…

and the HBP MOVIE IS GOING TO BE PG?!!! :frowning: :(

Favorite line:

Mrs. Weasley to Bellatrix: “NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU B*TCH!”

Sorry if someone already posted this. I didn’t read the whole thread.
