i KNOW that theres got to be tons of Harry Potter fans on CC. what do you guys think, I cannot wait for it to come out. Snape good or bad, Dumbledore really dead, any books after HP7, who is R.A.B., who lives Harry/Voldemort...??? do it up.

But she ALSO said in an interview that he has a role in the 7th book so I think we can look forward to seeing him in some form...perhaps as a ghost.

"But she ALSO said in an interview that he has a role in the 7th book so I think we can look forward to seeing him in some form...perhaps as a ghost."

He's probably playing a role in the -plot- or something like that (like how Nicolas Flamel played a role in the first book, but we never actually saw him) Sad as it is, I think he's gone for good.

It's sad...I think a lot of the hype is going to die down after all the books and movies have been released...there probably won't be as many fans now that there's nothing to wait for and Harry Potter's no longer a "current" novel.

Even if it lives on in literary history -- how many people wait outside bookstores to buy a copy of Romeo and Juliet?

Well she phrased it so that it sounded like Dumbledore played a part. I read it on Mugglenet.com in one of the interviews and she said something like "Dumbledore is giving me a hard time right now" as if he had a speaking role of some kind.

colege, i think that snape actually is good. he had to kill dumb to prove his loyalty to voldy so that in the end, he will be around to help harry defeat voldy.

also, alot of people think that dumb may actually still be alive but i think he is 100% dead and not coming back (in human form)

"also, alot of people think that dumb may actually still be alive..."

JK ROWLING confirmed that he really did die. So if he comes back, it'll be as a ghost or through the phoenix or something, but not through a beating heart and ten fingers and toes.

The only way for Draco to stay alive by the end of Half-Blood Prince was for Dumbledore to end up dead. Dumbledore would have never allowed a student to die under his watch, even if it was Draco. I think that Dumbledore must have told Snape to kill him in order to maintain both Draco's life and his innocence, at least to a certain degree.

Dumbledore is dead. End of story, straight from the mouth of JKR. BUT JKR did say that dear Albus will have a part in Book 7 (my guess would be in the form of his portrait. Snape is good and my theory is that Dumbledore asked Snape to kill him because he realized that Snape's role as a spy was much more important than his own life. There will be NO books after Deathly Hallows unless she decides to do another charity book like the two textbooks she already did. It's almost definite that Regulas Black is R.A.B. and that Voldemort will die though there is a good chance that Harry could die as well. In my mind, it could really go either way whether or not our favorite Boy-Who-Lived finally kicks the bucket.

It really is incredibly scary to think that I have been a Harry Potter fan for almost half of my life and now the story is coming to an end. Of course I'm looking forward to it and of course I can't wait to find out what happens but part of me dreads it. I will finally have to let go of the one thing that has tied me to my childhood.

Let's see... I'll be 17 when the last book comes out, and I was eight (seven?) when I read the first one... So, yeah, that's more than half of my life.

I think I'm going to cry =(

Maybe I'm just pessimistic, but I really think that Dumbledore's not coming back, in ANY form. When JK said "Dumbledore is giving me a hard time right now," I think that she probably meant that Dumble's giving her a hard time EMOTIONALLY... like, she misses writing about him or something.

The portrait idea does sound plausible... but I don't want to get my hopes up...
