I recall reading here or elsewhere about someone who answered with:

"MMMmmmmm Oohh ... yeah baby...mm yeah...oh yeah oooooo" and attributed it to some X-Rated movie title - don't remember the title.

Not sure if it was true, or if it was, whether they got in or not, but fwiw it cracked me up. When we did our info session at Princeton, someone in the audience asked what is some top-10 things people do wrong on their apps, and the woman said using profanity (F-bombs) in your essays is not considered a good idea. She said it happens a lot and is considered a detriment. But I'm not sure where porn fits into this.

Mine was:
"Wise men say forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza."
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
haha, it means to be forgiving, but don't be a chump :)

"Aristophanes once wrote, roughly translated; 'Youth ages, immaturity is outgrown, ignorance can be educated, and drunkenness sobered, but STUPID lasts forever.'"

--The Emperor's Club

didn't apply to princeton but I love that quote to bits

Lol I really like all these quotes- I think I'm going to have to watch There Will Be Blood now so I can see/hear the milkshake quote in the rightful context...

"Goddamn! We just had a near-life experience, fellas!" -Fight Club

A toast to my big brother George: The richest man in town.

Just a minute! Quiet everybody! Quiet, quiet. Now get this, it's from London.

Mr. Gower cabled you need cash, stop. My office instructed to advance you up to twenty-five thousand dollars, stop. Hee Haw and Merry Christmas! Sam Wainwright

I literally just cried looking that one up.....I LOVE THAT MOVIE

Ernest Hemingway once wrote: "The world is a fine place, and worth fighting for." I agree with the second part.

Oh and I agree 200% with the above posters about There Will Be Blood! Milkshake was the runner-up, and after poking through my quotes I HAD to watch it again. Greenwood's score is incredible.

You got a dream... You gotta protect it. People can't do somethin' themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want somethin', go get it. Period."

....but now i see so did many other ppl....i wasnt trying to impress addmission officers i just really love that quote and the movie...

I was very tempted to put in a Fight Club quote, but I was afraid that I would come across too cynical/depressed.
Initially I was thinking about this one:
Tyler Durden: **** damnation, man! **** redemption! We are God's unwanted children? So be it!
Narrator: OK. Give me some water!
Tyler Durden: Listen, you can run water over your hand and make it worse or...
[shouts]
Tyler Durden: look at me... or you can use vinegar and neutralize the burn.
Narrator: Please let me have it... Please!
Tyler Durden: First you have to give up, first you have to know... not fear... know... that someday you're gonna die.
Or this one from Girl, Interrupted:
Susanna: I know what it's like to want to die. How it hurts to smile. How you try to fit in but you can't. How you hurt yourself on the outside to try to kill the thing on the inside.
I ended up putting a light-hearted quote from Life of Brian, which had me on the floor every time I see it:
Centurion: What's this, then? "Romanes eunt domus"? People called Romanes, they go, the house?
Brian: It says, "Romans go home. "
Centurion: No it doesn't ! What's the latin for "Roman"? Come on, come on !
(and the whole subsequent exchange)
None of my friends find that scene funny, I guess I'm really a Latin nerd. :D

"You dreamt of another sky. New sun, new air, new life. A whole universe teeming with life. Why stand still when there're all that
life out there?" Doctor Who !

"The will is everything. If you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, you become something else entirely. Are you ready to begin?" (Batman Begins)

I was debating between this and a Fight Club quote, but decided to go with this one.
