Favorite Line from a Movie

Adrivit- I want to say it was in the original comic. Or "graphic novel," for those in the force on the Snooty Patrol.

Quintus: People should know when they're conquered.
Maximus: Would you, Quintus? Would I?

Gladiator

^Son of Opie's quote wins this thread. lol, Evil Dead

@Amadeuic: Really? And I always thought the Wachowski Bros wrote that ... so I would guess plenty many of the other amazing lines in the movie are lifted from the comic?

Probably, adrivit.

I read V for Vendetta a few years ago and I think I remember that being in there. I could be wrong. I'll try to remember to look it up.

But yeah, there's not that much in the scope of original writing involved with these types of movies.

AH, I was totally going to use this, though I did at least put the Count of Monte Cristo as my favorite movie. It was between this quote, "Show me the money!" from Jerry Maguire [which I ended up using.. lol, and this is legitimately my second favorite movie line, at least!] and "Do you not re-a-lize I have had diarrhea since EASTERS?!?!" from Nacho Libre... haha.

^ lol, it's such a sweet movie. The soundtrack is beautiful and the acting is pretty flawless.

That quote is just so powerful.

^Exactly. And I hate to admit it, but I like the movie even better than the book! Lol.

Finding Nemo -
Dory: “Hey there, Mr. Grumpy Gills. When life gets you down, do you wanna know what you've gotta do? “
Dory: [singing] “Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim.”

"why do we fall, Master Bruce? So we can learn to pick ourselves up."
- Alfred, Batman Begins.

Story of my life.

lol, sadface! Hey there, mr grumpy gills! lol!

lol ya. I had fun with it. But I was serious for the other questions.

"Terrified... mortified... petrified... stupefied... by you."
~ A Beautiful Mind

I'm TOTALLY not kissing up to Princeton since 'A Beautiful Mind' takes place there. Really. I had just seen it for the second time the day before filling out the app and remembered how much I loved that movie. >:/

^ great movie! One of my all-time faves. That and Good Will Hunting are some sweet math-related genius stories :)

^^ I was going to put that as my favorite movie, but I didn't want to look like I was brown-nosing. Brilliant movie, though!

Oh, surely the well known one from Princess Mononoke:

"This soup tastes like donkey p*ss!"

Wait, that's not right. I meant the other one:

"You cannot change fate. However, you can rise to meet it, if you so choose."

Darn, I keep thinking of all the quotes I should have put, like,

"The closer we are to danger, the farther we are from harm"
- Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers (I think)

Matheson: I look like Hamburglar! (from Pineapple Express)

"Behind this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy. And ideas are bulletproof."

V for Vendetta

"Behind this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy. And ideas are bulletproof."

V for Vendetta
