Favorite Place in Berkeley to Hit the Books

hey bears,
we all know that the dorms is not always the best place to get down to business and hit the books. there's always that person down the hall who's watching scrubs or the other person who's tempting you play a game of cards or the roommate who's asking you to go grocery shopping with her. you get the idea.

so the question is:

What is your favorite place in Berkeley to settle down COMFORTABLY with little distraction to do work?

memorial glade? in the lounge? in the library? (please be as specific as possible! i want to explore new potential workspaces.)

moffitt library 4th floor.

main stax level D,C,B

The ASC in the Units is a pretty good place to study.

main stax. It’s quiet, cool, and spacious. can’t find any complaints about it except I wonder how often they clean the restrooms in there…

I like to find a secluded bench (there are many scattered about campus) and set up camp there!

main stacks

Cafe Milano, Music Library, Earth Sciences & Map Library, Chemistry Library, Education & Psychology Library.

I like quiet so I usually can’t study somewhere besides the library. I would have to say the main stacks is your best bet. I like Moffitt better though, not as cold. But there always seems to be people talking when I’m there.

The basement of the East Asian Library, the upper-stairs area of Morrison, and the second floor of the Oxford Street Starbucks.

I find Morrison a lot better for taking naps…

The dorms are actually not too bad, just close your door and get down to business

@masterhammy
thats what she said ^_^

Long Business Library

Oh yeah, Morrison is good for naps. I remember taking a few there last semester. That means that it should also be quiet. haha.

I am a fan of the Philosophy Library in Moses. Usually it is not crowded, very comfortable, and has a good study vibe.
