Favorite Women's college

Here are the updated tallies, including my vote for Smith. Beyond excited to be attending next year.

Smith-23
Wellesley-22
Barnard-16
Bryn Mawr-13
Mount Holyoke-10
Scripps-9
Saint Mary’s-5
Spelman-3
Mills-4
Agnes Scott-2
Georgian Court-1
Hollins-1
Converse College- 1
Stephens College- 1

Interesting measure of each college’s presence on CC, especially because I don’t really think this matches up with how well the colleges are known, compared to each other in general public opinion. Though that probably varies a lot by region, and that judgement is just in my East Coast, New York Times reading experience.

Haha I want to launch a massive project on this now…

Voting for Smith! Congratulations wanton, you’ll love it there =]

I’m looking at Mills-- Can anyone who picked it, or didn’t pick it, give some information on how it compares to the East Coast schools?

I can’t decide between Wellesley, Barnard, or Smith. I like them all :)

Scripps College!
I was accepted EDII today. AAAAAAAAAH.

Bryn Mawr <3 My first choice. So mad my mom didn’t let me apply ED, or I’d know if I was accepted by now. >:|

Scripps college gets my vote. D2 loved the campus and the possibility to interact with the other students from the other Claremont schools. The young ladies at Scripps were all well spoken, interesting and very passionate about their school. Great little city too!

I vote for Scripps where my D is a sophomore. She loves being at a women’s college and loves the easy access to the other Claremont Colleges.

Oldest is a first year at Wellesley and is having an amazing experience there. If anyone is considering it, take a strong look. Scripps was the only other women’s college she considered, and it was quite impressive, too. The chance to live on the other side of the country helped, but, mostly, she felt at home at Wellesley. Would love it if my youngest would look at a women’s college, too.

I just got into Mount Holyoke, so I have to say MHC!! <3

Smith all around!

Mount Holyoke College ! <3

Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia…without a doubt!

bryn mawr!!

Wellesley! :)

Mount Holyoke College all the way!

Let me put in a vote for Mount Holyoke~

What, no shout outs to Barnard?
: )

Rising junior here! Im applying ED I to Scripps!!! What more could you want: Beautiful SoCal, Lovely Campus, Friendly Students, and the Best of Both Worlds (small, intimate women’s college and a huge college connection thru the 5C’s!) :D

WELLESLEY! Best women’s school in the nation :)
