@mango920
English usually never has a minus 1 for a 36, instead making the next few scores more lenient if a curve is needed. You should expect a 34 with a -3 given that people thought this english test took more time and was slightly more difficult than usual.
Of course 3 wrong on the December test was a 34 I believe.

I have definitely seen a 74/75 on the English section be a 36
this february test was my first ACT. when they send you your scores, do they show you which questions you missed or do they just send you the number?
Just the number. @acx820 . At least, I’m pretty sure.
@acx820 On February 17 you receive just your scores. You can order a TIR (Test Information Release) which will be a list of your answers, a copy of the multiple-choice test questions used to determine your score, the answer key, and scoring instructions.
When I checked online it said the TIR was not available for February
sorry, @Andre3200 is correct, even though February is a national test date, for some reason they do not offer the TIR service.
Do you think our tests have been graded yet?
So we won’t be able to find out which questions we got wrong?
@snowcookie
nope
@limmazom2 I said usually, not always.
This link has a very accurate ACT test

TIR is available for April and June 2015
@acx820 ACT curves and, to a slightly lesser extent, SAT curves, are pre determined. Before the main test date, the test is given to a “reference group” of students who have already taken the ACT or have accurate high school GPAs. The curve, for the most part, depends on their performance. This is also how ACT determines which questions are bad and which questions to keep.
Also, ACT uses the 5th Test to test out questions and figure out how certain questions will be answered.
@1golfer1 What is the “5th test”? How do they know what the overall scores will end up being if it is only a small number of students being tested?
@Legend1 The “5th test” is a test given out during certain ACT administrations, it is similar to the SAT “experimental” section, which is not really graded, but is just given to see if the questions are reasonable for future tests.
act says on their website that they post scores “usually each Wednesday and Friday”. that means that the earliest date that scores would be posted would be wednesday the 18th, not tuesday the 17th (Which is what everyone here keeps saying)… am i missing something here?
The first batch are going to come out on the 1st date. Have you never taken an ACT before?
@limmazom2 yes, ive taken it twice before but what do you mean the 1st date?
