If you want to see small, rural, and incredibly scenic, Hobart William Smith offers everything he is interested in. Strong physics, strong (and interesting) Japanese program, and both an indoor climbing wall and an outdoor club with climbing opportunities.
That sounds amazing. It looks like a nearly 6 hour drive from UVM so it might have to be a separate trip. But adding to the research list, especially if he pivots toward a more rural preference
