Hi everyone,

Is there a way to check your federal loans online? I want to see how much I owe/when I would need to pay them back.

Thanks.

Congratulations for asking this question!!! You are taking your future into your own hands by doing this. I wish more students would be on top of their debt.

Hey, all you college students who are borrowing loans ... please go to this website and check out your debts! While you're at it, if you don't know the difference between subsidized and unsubsidized loans, please look into this.

that is good info. I have seen the details of my son's loans before but only by going to the individual websites. Since we changed stafford lenders this year, it's nice to have it in one centralized place.

Is it safe to log in even though my D is starting college this summer and we filled out the FAFSA a few days ago?

I am pretty sure you can set it up to log in now. You use your FAFSA PIN for entry, so you should be able to get onto the site - you just won't have any loan history yet.
