Feedback on college list

My DD, about to be a senior, has finally narrowed her list to a mere 15 (way too many). It would be great to get some feedback on the match with her statistics and interests.
She is interested in business with a minor in communication. She goes to a large regional public high school in a small town. Weighted GPA is 4.2 with mostly honors and some APs; top 15% rank out of 300. ACT composite is 26. Varied EC's with a two year leadership position in school's major community service project. Here is the list:
Syracuse
Penn State - University Park
Elon
Fordham
Loyola Maryland
Fairfield
Hofstra
American
Indiana University
Emerson
Marist
Purdue
St. Joseph's (Philadelphia)
UConn
Temple

Any feedback, suggestions would be appreciated.

What does she want out of college? Large, small, medium, suburban, in a metropolitan area... ? Greek Scene, big on sports? Etc., Etc...

It seems like she could get into all of these schools, but if you can provide a bit more information I can help in weeding out a few from the list.

She should be aiming a lil higher.
Keep: Syracuse, Penn State, Indiana, American

add a few other prestigous schools:

examples:
- GWU
- Boston U
- Northwestern (if she can raise SAT/ACT)
- Ohio State
- Michigan State
- Michigan

She wants a school with some campus "feel" and spirit, with good internship and study abroad opportunities. She wants urban or suburban or at least a neat college town nearby (I know Elon doesn't fit this description, but she was very impressed with the involvement of the professors).
It's interesting that the posters feel that these are too easy for her - her gc is telling her she needs more safeties since he has seen a tremendous amount of randomness in acceptances this year. Thanks for the feedback

I think there all great schools, but I would follow the advice of maybe adding one or two reach schools.

Since you noted that she likes professor involvement, I would immediately cross off UConn. I had a cousin who went their for a year and transferred because all of her classes were taught in huge lecture halls and she noted that she never even met one professor. Since Purdue is heavily focused on engineering, I would think that their communications program is not up to par. Also, a large amount of classes their are taught by TAs and grad students, and I don't think West Lafayette would be the type of environment she'd like.

Definately keep Syracuse, American, St. Joseph's, Fordham, Penn State, and Elon.

Any other reactions? Thanks for all of the ideas.

You can get rid of Fairfield and St Josephs, I dont see those as very prestigious especially considering your stats. UConn is just plain ugly...very bland and uninspiring campus. Purdue.....is fastly on the downswing. May not keep its prestigious status for long. I dont know about Hofstra, but the name just sounds odd.

Where are your reach schools? These all seem like matches or safeties. Give yourself credit, your GPA is solidly over 4.0. Add some good ones like UMich and University of Virginia to the mix.

She'll probably get a decent scholarship from Temple.

Hofstra is a Dutch last name :P

dont worry about her GC.. mine told me i only had ONE match out of my 7 schools and i wound up getting into all of the schools except one impossible dream. i think they just say that to protect themselves and to be "safe"

heres what i think a good reduced list would be:
Syracuse
Penn State - University Park
Elon
Fordham
Loyola Maryland
Fairfield
UConn

and i sortve agree with other posters saying that she can aim a bit higher. why dont you add two-ish high reaches for her that she might enjoy. maybe Villanova, BU, UNC, UMich, BC, or UMD (you could get honors program there which is REALLY good for business)
