Female transfer student roommate wanted!

Hi!

My name is Emma and I am looking for a female transfer student who is majoring in animal science (or something similar) to share a room with me at the Poly Canyon Village apartments this fall. Let me know if you’re interested and I will give you more info about myself. Thanks!

KonaLuv, I am looking for a roommate as well, I am a Journalism major, however. My name is Alexis and I am a transfer student from San Diego.

Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?

food junkie/health nut
night owl or day person
partier/book worm etc etc

Well I’m not a complete health nut, I do love my Starbucks, however I like to hike and I work out a couple times a week. With my school schedule this semester I am more of a day person, 7 am class can do that to you. I am focused on school right now so parties are obsolete, however I enjoy hanging out with friends when I can, but I don’t do drugs (smoke weed or anything) and I am typically DD when I do go out for my friends because I rarely drink. What about you?

same thing, I am not a complete health nut, but I am working on it  I’m in the process of trying to lose weight, eat healthier, live healthier etc. I’m trying go go holistic and eating foods that are natural and organic. I just didn’t want a roommate that brings home chocolate cake every single night because I have absolutely no willpower! I’m definitely a day person. I usually go to be by 9 or 10pm and wake up around 7 or 8 am. I am a total nerd in the sense that I do not drink at all or party, but I like to stay active (gym, hiking, biking, etc)

Are you applying for a private bedroom or shared? I’ve never shared a bedroom with anyone before, but to have your own private bedroom is over 1,000 dollars more at Cal Poly! I’m not sure I can afford that…

I completely understand, trust me I would not be bringing cake on a regular basis or anything like that. It sounds like we are similar in our sleeping habits. It was beyond stressful to get into Poly I will definitely be focused on school first. SLO is a great place for hiking and outdoor activities (when it’s nice) so I’m very excited for that!
I too have never shared a bedroom with anyone, however I applied for the double/shared. It seemed ridiculous to pay an extra thousand just to have a private bedroom; that money can go to better use. What did you apply for?

I applied for “no preference”, but I think I’m going to change it to “shared/double”. The website says you can change it at any time. I will be living completely off of student loans and I don’t want my “bill” to be that much higher once I graduate. You’re right, that money can go to better use!

Where in Southern California are you from? I’m in La Habra, which is north Orange County.

Oh okay, I’m from San Diego! Not too far south from where you are.

sweet!

There’s only one problem though. I wasn’t able to get into a chemistry class that I stated I would take on my application. There is a chance Cal Poly may rescind my acceptance. I sent in my official transcripts yesterday and they said I should know my admission status by the end of next week. So I will keep you posted. Wish me luck!

Ah good luck! I’m sure you’ll be okay since you were honest about it and let them know early. Let me know what happens and good luck :)
