Few questions about statistics

I'm currently a sophomore in a statistics program. I can choose to go either with the general route, or the applied route. For the general statistics program, I would be taking some upper div math courses. For the applied statistics program, I can choose to take some upper div courses in a related field, such as econ or bio. My question is, how would choosing one concentration affect my future? Like say, which would be the most employable?

Also, I have started to think about grad school. If I want to go industry, will a masters suffice? Also, does where I get my masters from matter when looking for jobs?

A lot of statistics majors go into finance type of jobs; if that is of interest to you, consider some economics and finance courses, as well as applicable statistics courses. You are still likely to have enough room in your schedule to take whatever additional courses are recommended for graduate study preparation (such as advanced math courses in real and complex analysis, advanced linear algebra, and numerical analysis).
