Few weeks till AP Exams!

"Zach, I can't even do C normally in class, it's tough. Hope it goes okay."

Thanks! :D

I'm not really "self-studying" in the true sense of the phrase, because I'm actually going over it with my teacher, but it is aside from my class (which is AB). The material is not too difficult, but I do understand that a lot of practice is required (at least the Series do), so I need to somehow find time for that...

"started really eraly this year"

Yeah, seriously. I don't know what they're so intent on starting them as early in May as possible. What makes it even worse is that school started a week later for me this year (than the year before).

Wow, I too have started to freak about AP's, this year only 5's!!!

Chem: man o man, took a diagnostic and got like 16/40 ?'s right... not studied of course but still!!

AB Calc: YAY!

US: wow.... i'm freaking about this one because i suck at history, last year in euro i got a 3 and that scared me soo much... so no more this year!

:p I'd be happy with anything above a 3. Honestly, I'm not going to be picky if it's not a 5. But I need a 5 on the Physics C test and Psychology. Other than that, 4 or 5, I <3 you.

i'm taking 7 ap exams!!!
i'm so screwed!
our classes move sooo slow!!

I'm stressed to say the least...

AP Lang/Comp - I should be fine..I think...there's really not all that much that one can study..it' s mainly tuning up the skills
AP Calc BC - Not too worried...with the exception of some of the really hard Free Response and a fear of making silly mistakes
AP US History - worried because we have SO much to cover still..though I have complete faith in my teacher so crossing fingers should be fine if I study (which I've started sort of)
AP Chem - umm...I'll be happy with a 3...(well I won't be...but I'm expecting less)

Just curious... how would you guys suggest I study for AP Bio? I'm thinking I'm pretty screwed... This year we didn't really do much in class, a couple of labs, and some unit tests. And I'm just starting to study now. I've skimmed over some parts of campbells, and I get some details, but I'm missing some big chunks of the big picture and quite a bit of "basics." I got Cliffs AP Bio, any other advice?

Edit: I'm desperate for a 4 or 5 :). This is going to be my first(maybe 2nd?) AP test.

i'm scared but not scared enough to crack open my pile of new ap review books.

i'm going to fail. blargh.

I got Bio... not that bad. i took a practice and got 25 wrong on MC, and i hadnt started Animal Systems or ecology, so im in pretty good shape for that. Just Princeton's and CLiff's for that.

AP Music theory... HOW IN THE WORLD IS ANYONE SUPPOSED TO PREPARE FOR THIS!!!! Its not like there is Cliff's on it, and there are only four released tests from CB, and all of those are practice for class. Im screwed. I need practice. If anyone else has taken AP Music Theory, pleeeeeeease tell me how you prepared for aural. Must get at least a three.

AP Calc - assuming I'll get a 5 (math is my subject)
AP Chem - I'm gonna have crack open some review books after the Calc exam
AP Lang - I would be satisfied with a 4 or higher :(
AP Micro - Self studying after Calc exam
AP Macro - Reviewing after Calc exam

So... lots of cramming to do.

Microeconomics is short enough to self-study in a week? Or have you done some of it and just plan to touch up on things you haven't covered?

I have no idea and I'm just curious...

AP Phsyics- should be fine
AP Chem- also fine
Calc BC-self-studying, I've almost started...but not a problem
Spanish-err...uh oh. also self-studying, also almost started

haha, I'm taking 7 but I have to self study for 4 of the exams. I was just being greedy during registration and I'm in a big jumble now...HELP!
Non-self study:
Calc BC: I would seriously die for a 4
English Lit: Going for 5
US History: 5 if all goes well
Self-Study
Macro/Micro: I really hope they aren't too hard, I need 2 5s for these
Euro History: Not too worried
World History: If they ask me the location of a random Chinese temple like they did in SAT II, I'm just going to leave testing
2 more weeks, 0 studying

Sarorah ~ Thank you!

"World History: If they ask me the location of a random Chinese temple like they did in SAT II, I'm just going to leave testing"

LOL

gahhhh 6 exams for me...

ap ush- ive done most of the review...this is pretty much just straight facts. i do pretty well on the practice exams though. i think ill get a 4/5

ap english lang. - hard MC. i hate english. ill be happy with a 4.

ap span lang- some tough portions. im not native but im pretty fluent. hopefully a 5

ap calc bc- self study. its a 5 or die on this one

ap chemistry- please a 4 or a 5, please!...just a straight up difficult course/exam

ap psychology- self study. not a lot of work, just some important things to remember. easy 5.

does anyone know how much it hurts you if you do not finish one of the AP English Lang essays?????????

i heard that it is possible if you do well enough on the MC and the other 2 essays that if u leave the last one blank...u could still get a 5.

but i'm not exactly sure...

okay.. another week has passed and I didnt start my independant study for macroeconomics and didnt start revising for microeconomics.

wish me luck!

and final examinations are coming up too...

Rilla... THank you, you have made my day.... now to ace the multiple choice....... (I am just about the slowest person ever when it comes to writing essays...)

are there any ap exams easy to self study and get 4/ 5's?
