hi! i’m super interested in UCLA’s film program BUT i know how competitive it is. i’ll be honest, my grades aren’t the best, but this summer i plan on taking on several activities and classes surrounding film and the works. what are my chances of getting in honestly? what should i do from now until college apps to better my chance? thanks!
What’s your GPA? What’s your SAT? Do you have any Extra Curricualrs that make you stand out?
-Be an in-state resident
-Get perfect grades
-Get a very high score on your SATs.
Portfolio?
There were over 100K applicants.
What makes you stand out?
TFT weighs application admission mostly based off the supplementary application and they look heavily into your creative writing paper and your personal statements. It’s ideal to get “perfect” grades and a high SAT, but really they care more about everything else. If you already have a bunch of work experience in the field and good supp. app, they’ll take you. Etc. It’s different. Not traditional.
