Fin Aid at Pepperdine

Does anyone know how Pepperdine is at finaid. Their office said they will mail them next week sometime hopefully. It is my D's first choice school but we need some aid for her to go so I don't want her to get too excited yet. We also don't know if we should visit other schools and make plane reservations. Wish we could hear so we would know whether to start celebrating or not! What have others heard? Thanks in advance for any input.Congratulations to all who got in!!!

I'm kinda bummed that Pepperdine waits until so long to send everything. Makes decisions more difficult since you have less time to make them.

I got my Pepperdine admissions packet on March 24 and got my financial info a few days later...I was really surprised that they gave me $15,000 a year even though I have no financial need (my EFC was $45,000). Based on that, I would assume that they are pretty generous with scholarships and aid. Good luck to your daughter!

Wow, great news. do you think they go by stats for that? we went ahead and set up visits for other visits but will cancel them if we get good news. Thanks for giving us hope!!

my numbers were significantly higher than the averages for Pepperdine, so that probably is what got me the scholarship. However, Pperdine students seem really well-rounded so based on that, I would think that they also give out scholarships to students who have lots of extracurriculars and good essays. So basically I think that if you have either above average numbers or above average essays, you have a great chance at a scholarship.
