*other factors:
Recs- Should be good.
Interest in major- probably my weakest point, but I told my stats teacher to talk about stats, why I like it, etc. in my rec, and I have a lot of science/math ECs, so that could help a bit.
Essays- who knows, but I'll do everything I can to make them as good as possible. I don't want to mess this one up.

46.85%. Good luck.

do you mean biometry and statistics? b/c that's what i did too

yeah that's it. Sorry. Any more opinions?

shoe in, man. people think cornell is unattainable, most of the people i know here don't stand up to this kids stats. i would bet 50 dollars that you get in provided your essay doesn't say "i am lying about all the crazy **** i've done the past four years". good luck getting into harvard though...

lol I know for sure I'm not a shoe in dude. I'm average at best, but even that might be pushing it a bit. Any more ideas? I'm freaking out! Ugh!

come on guys. I know more than 2-3 of you have opinions about this

it's "shoo-in"

your stats sound a lot like mine did, above a 4.0 weighted, captain of like every sport, lots of tutoring, awards, clubs, honor societies, AP classes, 30 ACT etc. I had a very good essay, and great recs b/c I was salutatorian and my bio teacher was also my soccer coach, but I came from a much smaller not as good public school, am a first generation college student, and im white. (I don't know if that helps. I was admitted RD CALS-bio) So basically, I do believe that you would fit in nicely here. In CALS, though, I think they let in a lot of New York State residents so I'm not sure how that will affect you. The admissions process isn't so clear cut though. I think you would definitely make it through the first round of "cuts" but after that it is more up in the air. Your application would be similar to others who made it through the first cut, you just have to hope that in some way it stands out and that the admissions person thinks that you can "fit in" here. You have a good chance in my opinion.
