I think I may have to make a decision between Emory and Michigan and I'm looking at every angle between the two. Can you guys offer any insights into the pros and cons of each, especially when compared with each other? Thanks!

What are your interests, background and preferences?

My interests are... undecided. I might look into Law or business but part of my decision is gonna be based on which one will allow me to explore a little bit and decide based on that. I'm from a good northeast public school in a suburb of NY city. Preferences? Hmmm - I'm not into tiny schools but that's not really an issue here. I'm not sure how I feel about huge schools (i.e. Michigan). I liked the Emory campus a lot and like the notion of Atlanta being a few minutes away but Ann Arbor wasn't bad either and the Michigan campus was nice too. The school's reputation and the way it's perceived is also fairly important. Thanks!!

Both are great schools with different atmospheres. Intro classes will be much larger at Michigan If you want to "explore a bit",Michigan has hundreds of courses and more options for business courses. The General Ed Requirements are a bit more stringent at Emory.

LARGE VS SMALL, public vs private, great mid sized research university vs world reknowned large research institution; more personalized liberal arts education vs large programs with many top 10 depts.
Did you visit any courses while on campus?

You can't go wrong with either; however must decide which fits into your needs.

You might want to post this question on the Michigan board to compare the two.
