Final Countdown to Rejections...

USC keeps saying that decisions will be known by April 1. To me, this means that includes rejections (some people already have been rejected). It appears that this week (3/22 - 3/28) is pretty much our final stand before we enter or are turned away. The week of April 1 will MOSTLY be that of rejects (last minute acceptances and springs admits).
I pray for every USC decision await-ers sake that this week will have the biggest flood since the first decisions set sail.

Now, these are just my simple assumptions from what I have been reading and discussing on CC.
Any one agree?

I also applied to USC's SCA. They have an AIM service (scadmission) that will answer all and any questions as best they can.
Today, I asked if all decisions have been made yet for SCA undergrad production. GUESS WHAT?
scadmission's response: i dont believe so. all students should be notified BY april 1st.

I asked this question, because in the SCA thread someone said that they had received an email from SCA saying that all decisions have been made.

Whether or not the decisions have been made is not important - the relevant question is “Have all the decisions been *mailed out?” *The clear answer is “No,” as many here on this forum have not yet heard one way or the other.

From the beginning, the USC admissions website and all corresponance has said that notification will be “By April 1st.” The answer you received form the AIM representative “All students should be notified by April 1st” is completely consistant and is not new information.

Yes, of course notifications will include rejections - with over 35,000 applicants and approximately 8,000 acceptances, there will be about 27,000 rejections. There is no way around that fact. Do remember though that acceptances continue through April 1st. Check the 2009 decisions thread for confirmation.

So, to sum up, yes I agree that, as stated from the time you first checked USC admissions website last winter, you will be notified of your acceptance or rejection by April 1st.

P.S. Good luck!!!

We are ok. I am even in the “fall grades” still. They told me they got a lot of applications yet to reach the committee. This may cause decisions to be pushed late towards the April 1st date, idk. This board is relatively quiet, still many people with excellent stats are waiting.

Well this is a depressing thread. I don’t want anyone in this forum to get rejected!! :(

I am still forwarded as of 3/15. Applied Undeclared/Roski. But an interesting thing happened to me when I signed on here today…I didn’t feel compelled to read every thread. I looked at them and only read the ones that I had commented on in the past. I am pulling away, I can feel it. I am very much at peace with not going to USC now and never thought I would say that. I think my hardest rejection was Cal Poly SLO, and that taught me not to get my hopes up. I know this isn’t important to anyone but me, but it is feels strange to know that my mind is letting go of this dream and I am not upset.

I am only coming on here now to see if certain people that I have followed will be accepted…I guess you sort of get attached to their stories.

Best of luck everyone. I am really looking forward to college next year and even ordered a UCSD sweatshirt yesterday. It’s not cardinal and gold, but it will do in a pinch.

You might see me in two years though as a transfer! lol

“there will be about 27,000 rejections”

yeesh, i never thought about what a huge number of rejections there usually are, before D:
