Hi everyone, I really need help trying to put all my facts and feeling in perspective for my last three schools so I can make a decision! I'm an engineering major from Syracuse, NY but living in Illinois, huge on science but have interests in other areas as well. I've narrowed all my choices down to University of Rochester (Received 10k/yr), Purdue(no aid), and Worcester Polytechnic (16k/yr), but I'm having trouble choosing because of the sheer differences between the three of them! Rochester and Purdue are most known, with Rochester almost a little boring not as big on engineering and I've heard impersonal, Purdue, of course, being huge with a more diverse and, on the whole, less prestigious feel, whereas WPI is smaller and, in my mind more personal and small-scale innovative, but with no big reputation, hard scheduling, no real big student life, and much lower rankings. What do you think? Personal experiences from students or alumni with some examples of how they felt when they started out and of course just plain insightful advice very much appreciated!!

Hi, i am kaushik from ghana… i am in a very similar situation right now. I have offers from Uof I at Urbana/champaign (with honors program), Purdue University (with honors program), Illinois Institute of Technology, WPI and a couple from Canada. Of these 4 universities, i received scholarships from IIT (21.5k per year) and WPI (25k per year + financial aid). In addition to there, i have a waitlist at the Washington University in Stl. I plan on doing engineering (mechanical/robotics). It would be great if someone gave us a bit of advice that would help make a decision on what school to choose.
