Hi everyone. so someone I know who was admitted is worried because fourth quarter she received an "F" in her Enviornmental Science Class, but still managed to have a "B+" for the year. She had A for first quarter, A+ for second quarter, A+ for third quarter, but an F this quarter. The reason why she failed is because a test was given during AP week and she forgot to make it up. Should she be concerned?

Only final grades really matter

Are quarter grades even transmitted? I remember my high school transcript only listing end of the year grades.

Also, ouch.

Im not sure if quarter grades are submitted, she said that final grades are submitted but doesnt know whether individual quarter grades are too. Anyway shes freaking out, do u think shell be ok??

Quarterly grades are not submitted. Only the final grades. I remember being in the PTA meeting in our high school and one mother was worried that her daughter had a bad grade on her midterm and it was going to effect her college acceptance. The guidance person said the colleges see only final grades. So tell your friend not to worry. If she’s still worried, tell her to call her high school and verify which grades get submitted.

Thanks she said that only final grades are submitted.
