<p>They are very important. DON'T get Cs or Ds (Bs are understandable for APs)...if you happen to fail, your admission can be rescinded. Don't slack off!!</p>
<p>It's important, as others have said.</p>
<p>And frankly, I wouldn't rely on someone who says "My sister got a D and still kept her admittance last year." because colleges may change how strictly they enforce 8th-semester grade review for admittees.</p>
<p>For example, if yield was low, and the class is smaller than they thought, they might be more lenient than usual, deciding its worth giving you a chance to prove that it was just senioritis. But in a regular year, or one where the class looks big, they could crack down.</p>
