So I'm still trying to decide between ucla and ut. I like ucla because it's really pretty, and i was admitted to engineering program. It also gives me a chance to get away from tx and experience something new in CA. However it is 45k per year, which I can slide to 35k by getting a job there. Ut is very cheap, and a good school in itself. However i will be in the summer school and as a natural sciences major.

Thoughts?

UCLA engineering is not worth OOS tuition when you have UT-Austin as cheaper option. Work hard and transfer into UT's arguably better engineering program.

This is a no-brainer...save your money and go to UT.

Being saddled with potentially $140k-180k debt will make you regret the CA experience very quickly.

Thanks UCB, I know you reiterated your comments a lot in my threads, but this is a very difficult situation for me.

I think your second post reveals how you actually feel and where you want to be next year. I have not read your previous threads, but I always feel in making this decision ("Where should I go to college?"), your best bet is to trust your instincts. If you feel pulled to UCLA, then perhaps that is where you are supposed to be.
