Final Transcript Help!!!

I have read the freshmen contract saying that final transcripts are due July 15, but over the past month since graduation I have forgotten all about this and fully believing that my high school has sent my transcript because I have signed a paper requesting a final transcript sent. However I just checked my status today and UCI has still not received my transcript. I have asked all my friends and their schools have all received their transcript so I'm pretty sure UCI has receieved my transcript. I think the problem is that because I have changed my name and the name on my UCI application is different from the name on my school record. I have already sent a message to the admission counselors but because it is the weekend and after business houra i will probably not hear from them until Monday which is my orientation day. I am on pins and needles right now worrying about my admission. Will my admission be cancelled if they have received my final transcript but just needs help matching it up with my name? Please help me

Best case scenario: If it is postmarked, you should be fine and could easily justify your case.
schools usually keep admissions open a few days after the transcript deadline.

Worst case scenario: You didn’t send it, or they didn’t receive it somehow. Although there are no more extensions due to educational budget cuts, you should still have a few days grace to turn it in (at least that’s what I was told).

If you feel really anxious, on Monday, you can look up the school district office that holds your transcript and look at where they are located to pick up an official transcript. If you are under 18, you’ll need a parent to go with you. Grab a stamped/sealed official transcript and look for a competent looking registrar employee and get it where it needs to be, while politely explain to them your situation.

Most likely your admissions won’t be affected for an honest mistake, but if you didn’t send it and don’t get it in soon, its a sure possibility! The official transcript verifies that you graduated highschool, not your highschool diploma (it has a stamp on the official that tell them when you graduated)

When is your SPOP? You can bring your transcript directly to the Admin Office (Aldrich Hall) and hand it to them. I suggest you call them and explain your situation.
