Finals Study Thread

Aka All Nighter thread for me lol

But really finals are coming up (or already happening/ed) So I just thought why not make a thread for something that big. Maybe we could even help each other

Ehh… I guess.

Finals start (and end) on Monday for me. APUSH, AP English Lang, and AP Chem.

No finals for my last two blocks, the teacher is averaging all of our test grades to give as a final grade in place of a final test in my second block, and in first block the final test was replaced with a project. Senior year is sweet.

lol my finals are in january

I need to get an A on my English and Physics exam or I’ll get a B in the class. I’m scared. If I do get a B, I’ll get over it though.

Have HL History and HL English tomorrow, anyone else do IB?

i haaaaaaate life

physics
ap euro
chem

on friday
but i don’t feel like doing anything

I have finals Friday Monday and Tuesday its so weird. ^And nope sorry I just have AP

AUGHGHGHGHGHHDSHGKLSDJFKSD. I have my math and english finals tomorrow. Our finals actually started today, but since I take study hall, finals technically start tomorrow for me.

I calculated what grades I needed to make in order to maintain my As hehehahahaha. For math and chemistry, the minimum I have to make is a 72, for english, a 74, for french, a 54, and for whap, an 82… I’m really tempted to blow off my exams… but I’ll probably end up pulling a couple of all-nighters.

u need at least a 54 to get an A?

Haha yep, French 2 is an absolute joke. I have a 99 for an average.

And at my school, finals only count for 20% of the semester grade.

my school has a policy to where if you are making either an A with 3 or less absences, or a B with 2 or less absences, then you are exempt from the final exam O.o

same here with the 20% of your grade thing

10% here.

I can make a 25 on both English and Chem and a 4 on APUSH.

My finals aren’t until the end of January! You guys take them so early!

Do you guys have finals in all your classes? I read some post that only listed 3 classes… And our finals range from 10-15% of our grade. I have to do pretty well though because I have low As/high A-s in most of my classes. Shooooot.

I know some schools allow students to exempt some of their finals. Except for study hall, I have a final in all of my classes… even in Studio Art! So, that would make 6 finals for me. I know at my school, no one is allowed to exempt their midterms. But if you’re taking an AP course and if you take the AP exam in the spring, you can exempt your spring final in that subject. Also, seniors can exempt all of their spring finals if they maintain at least a B+ semester average and have no more than 4 absences.

@candelabra: Which state do you live in (if you live in the U.S.)? That sucks. So do you have to study during the winter break?

I’ve got finals in all six of my classes (two today, two tomorrow, and two Friday). Haven’t really been studying for any of them… but really only one or two of my grades are on the line. If everything goes like I think it’ll go, I’ll end up with four A’s and two B’s.

I don’t have to take finals since I have As in all my classes and I’m a senior :stuck_out_tongue: HOWEVER, some of my classes are year-round, so I do have to take 2 mid-terms in January: AP Statistics and AP European History. If I don’t get a 90+ on Euro and a 95+ on Stat, I’m going to be very disappointed in myself…

My finals are on January 23. You sure have them early

My school weighs the final as 25% of your final grade. Two of my finals were presentations and the other two were exams. I exempted the two presentations (Honors Chem and Honors Physics) and had to take the two exams. I got a 99 on the Health Sciences 1 exam and I’m awaiting my resultant from Honors Precalculus. BTW, this all happened from this Monday to yesterday (Thursday)
