Finance school for me.

I am going into my senior year. My SAT is a 2090 (hoping to raise to 2200), but my GPA weighted is around a 3.85. I have tons of solid EC's and recs. I was wondering what are considered some of the top finance schools and what finance schools can you recommend for a student like me. I have the ability, its just I found HS boring and ridiculous.

Thanks CC

bump....anyone?

yes. any finance schools. i would like to study finance too.

UPenn Wharton or Indiana University Kelley two locations.

<a href="http://undergrad.wharton.upenn.edu/curriculum/concentrations/finance.cfm%5B/url%5D">http://undergrad.wharton.upenn.edu/curriculum/concentrations/finance.cfm</a></p>

I believe NYU Stern has a Finance major. UPenn Wharton has a concentration in Finance but it's pretty much the same as majoring in Finance I think.

You should be able to get into indiana, boston, maryland, maybe Austin. But NYU stern is a reach. You might be able to get into other nyu schools though

Is there finance in undergraduate? Or I think you can have a concentration in it with Business administration. I 'll be studying Economics and Mathematics in my undergraduate. Are the majors good preparation for a grad school if I want to study fianace.

Yes, all those schools listed have finance as an undergraduate degree. However, many top schools don't have B-Schools, don't reward UG Business degrees, and therefore don't have finance as a major.

ew, indiana

You're guarenteed admission to Kelley. If you have a 3.5 and 1270, you're in, period.

eh.. guaranteed admission just screams mediocrity

Well Kelley is pretty good. It should be given more credit than mediocre.

you are doing a dual degree? Two departments?

Yes, those are good for finance. Take courses such as microeconomics, calculus, international business, and corporate finance.

grad school as in MBA of PhD in finance? which are you doing?

You are now at Bates? Is that the fact?

Not Bates. Elmira in New york. I am looking into MBA. Does MBA student earn a lot in US and how easily do they get jobs.
