financial aid appeal denied?

my financial aid appeal was denied now what other aids can i get to help pay for my up coming years?

What’s the rest of your situation? Are you partway through your degree or just starting? How much money do you need to be able to attend in the spring? How much do you need for the rest of your degree? Are there circumstances that could change to allow you to re-qualify for financial aid in the future?

If you don’t qualify for (federal? state? school-based? all of the above?) financial aid, chances are you are going to need to take some time off from school and get a job to earn the money you need to pay for school.

Why was your aid denied?

There really aren’t “other aids” to help you pay for college other than maybe joining the military or working in an industry that will pay for your degree.

What is your situation? What is your major? What year are you in school?

How much does your school cost? Are you commuting (living at home) or do you live in a dorm/apt?

Since your appeal was denied, does that mean that you owe money for the current semester?

A lot depends on why you were denied financial aid. Talk to your school and find out what you need to achieve to become eligible for aid again. If it is because you don’t meet SAP, then find out what you need to do to bring yourself up to SAP in order to have your aid reinstated. For instance, if your GPA does not meet SAP, take some classes on your own dime and get good grades and bring them up to SAP. If your successful completion percentage does not meet SAP, do some classes on your own dime and increase your completion rate % to meet SAP. Even if paying your own way means taking just 1 or 2 classes a semester so you can work and do well in the classes, this would be the best way to work toward get your FA back. If you were denied because you exceed maximum credits (hopefully not as you are talking about having “years” to go), then that is a bigger problem.

There is no other aid out there.
