Hi! Im currently appealing my financial aid for a school and they give you a box on the bottom to basically justify why you should receive more. Besides writing the monetary reasons, would it be a good idea to add a more personal note on the bottom about how much the school means to me?
Yes, you can say that the school is your number one choice and if they provide the requested level of FA you will attend (obviously only say that if true).
Generally, FA appeals are only successful if there was some type of mistake made, or if there has been a change in the family’s financial status (job loss, etc.).
If you have a better FA offer from a peer school I would also share that with them.
