I was just admitted to Boston College and am extremely excited to have been accepted however I have not idea if I can actually go the for financial reasons. Babson College estimated my efc to be 3,000 but wanted my family to cover 30,000 yearly. If this is my efc according to the css profile (and will likely match my fafsa) will Boston College accomodate to the demonstrated need well? My parents’ (mother and stepfather) COMBINED income for 2014 was just over 30k.
@gonkgirl I also was accepted to BC EA! Financial aid comes out at the end of Janaury for EA applicants. BC is 100% need school meaning they will pay for all of your demonstrated need (different at each school). the financial aid from BC will most likely match whatever you need based off of CSS and Fafsa.
As the parent of a person in the 2019 accepted class, I would advise waiting and seeing before getting hopes up too high. Our financial aid package was downright abysmal. Some people get good packages, though. Good luck! Wait and see.
