The thread title says it all. Financial aid awards were released today, and boy was ours bad! Like $22000 above the net price calculator estimate level of bad. The number is so far off that I plan to call in the morning to see if there is some sort of error at play or if we can appeal the award, because my daughter has slowly fallen in love with USFCA - something I encouraged because the NPC put the expected costs well within our means, even allowing for a margin of error of a couple thousand dollars, and her grades/scores made it a safe bet for admission and merit aid - but there’s no way we can cover the cost. Our net price would be more than 10x our FAFSA EFC!
Anyone else get a nasty sticker shock today?
