Financial Aid based on housing

Does USC reevaluate your grant based on the housing you get?

No, the housing estimate is an average of the lower-priced housing options (in other words, singles are not included in averaging the estimate). If you choose a lower-priced option, you benefit. If you choose a higher-priced option, it comes out of your pocket.

This year’s estimate is:
$13,334 Room and board*
*Includes average rent and the standard meal plan for students living in on-campus freshman housing.

Again, if you choose something higher-priced, the difference will come out of your pocket. They won’t give you more money for choosing the swankiest option :)

If you ended up somewhere too pricey, you can try and go through the reassignment procedure.
