who do you guys have as your financial aid counselors, and do they answer your emails on time/ in a timely manner?

Mine is Kelly Mitchell, and no, not really. I’m not sure if it applies to any other counselor, but Mitchell took about one to two weeks to respond to my inquiries.

I called mine and everyone I talked to told me to just read the website. So I asked my counselor was down there and she told me yes so I just drove on down there and marched up the building to ask my questions which were then answered.

I have Calvin Montgomery, he didn’t return my calls but answered my email in less than a day.

mines melissa dick and she takes forever to respond to everything…
just wanted to know if anyone else’s counselors were like this.

It is difficult to get a hold of all financial aid counselors during these next few weeks, because they are all busy calculating/posting everyone’s awards. Also, the number of students trying to contact them via e-mail and telephone, makes it even harder for them to respond in a timely manner. This was the explanation I was given when I tried to contact my financial aid counselor last year. It took me 6+ emails and a weeks worth of phone calls to get a hold of my counselor last year. LOL!

Something Owen. Never talked to him/her.

I emailed finaid@ucr or whatever. DIDN’T RESPOND. It’s been a whole week. -.-

Don’t know mine, but I emailed finaid@ucr.edu today to check up the status of my financial aid awards. Perhaps Darkprince is right that it’s to hard to reach them because they’re busy with all of our finaid :(
