Financial Aid Disbursement

I need help understanding my financial aid.

Cost of Attendance $27,233
Gift Aid - $17,693
My Net Cost $9,540

Does that mean I’ll have to pay $9,540 out of pocket…?

Yes, you can either pay it out of pocket or apply for a private loan to pay for that portion.

I opted to pay quarterly. It sounded better. Do they deduct the housing money automatically? If so then they haven’t done it yet which I suppose makes a little sense since they are two different departments.

eminent; you don’t necessarily need 27k. that’s just an estimation of your cost of living, which can vary from person to person. I have about 17k in grants too, and I think that would be enough for me. I did take the 4.5k loan because I want to have money to spend.

silence3; yeah, they deduct it automatically, so i guess they just haven’t done it yet.
