When do we find out how much we get from financial aid?

<p>I really want to know! Also, I heard the government will be giving less money to students next year. There is also an increase in tuition for all UC's. Does anyone know how much? :/

<p>Mid-August to be specific… but it might be later. Apparently, they have a new system or something… that’s why we didn’t find out summer school finaid for the longest time -.-</p>

<p>well fin aid for freshmen is up but for students already at ucr they are lagging it and pushing our date from june to the mid/end august which blows major spheres</p>

<p>I still haven’t gotten mine yet…although some of my friends who are 2nd years have got theirs already.</p>

<p>How long does it take for them to disburse after you’ve completed all the steps? I had to do the entrance counseling twice for the Stafford loan, which I just finished today. And my parents did the PLUS loan application and MPN about a week ago. UCR’s financial aid web site says to have it all done by the first of September so I should get my money in time, right?</p>

<p>They will deduct whatever they need from your financial aid, then send you a refund check near the end of September.</p>

<p>If there are any holds, they will post it. It’s crucial to check GROWL very often during these few weeks, unless they clear you of everything.</p>

<p>you’re supposed to look at award status–not application status. but if it’s not in award status, then it’s just not up yet :x</p>
