Financial Aid Disqualification

So, back in 2013, I did one semester at Fullerton College, aside from the BOGG Waiver, my mom paid for all my books, and I paid any other fees out of pocket. I completed the semester. I applied for financial aid for the next year which would be fall 2013/spring 2014. I got approved and got my card in the mail and I forgot the amount, but I was awarded financial aid, BUT I was never able to receive it because of a stupid school called Everest College, they put some sort of hold on any aid because they said I owed them something, but when I called to get my money released, they said they didn’t know what was going on because they hadn’t put any holds and their records indicated that I didn’t owe them anything. I go back to FC and they still couldn’t release my money so I wasn’t able to return to school for that year or really since then because I haven’t had the money, but very recently I’ve decided to go back to school and pursue my education. I got an email from my school’s financial aid office that I have been disqualified from financial aid. My question is, how can I be disqualified because of failing to meet SAP requirements, when I didn’t enroll in any classes between Fall 2014-Summer 2018, and my GPA was above a 2.0 for what I did complete that one semester in Spring of 2013?

anyone??

I am not sure anyone online can answer your question. I would call the college and talk to someone . Better yet - if it is close enough, make an appointment and go talk to them. Good luck.

(and please be patient. You bumped your post after 20 minutes over the dinner hour (sad face))

Yeah, I’m already going to do that, I just wanted to know or get an idea before I went to see if it was even a thing that happened regularly. But thanks!

Did you officially go on leave or just disappear?
