SAP appeal approved, financial aid award revoked?

Hi! Don’t know what happened to my previous post, but long story short,

My SAP appeal at LMU was approved, I got the grades required by the dean on the appeal, I get an email saying that my financial aid award was given.

After accepting the award, the following day, my award is gone & revoked saying “Deny aid after probation”.

Can anyone explain why this would happen? It doesn’t seem fair to me considering that I met the dean’s requirements & it was approved by the financial aid office, yet I still get my aid revoked after being approved. It upsets me even more that they do this right before the start of the Spring semester.

Yes, the financial aid office at LMU can explain it. Call them or stop in and ask! Maybe it’s an error.

Ok so I spoke to the financial aid office…apparently, the board of education ultimately had the final decision to deny, even though the school approved my appeal. It sucks…

Does anyone know if there’s anything I can do about that?

Are they college grants or Pell and state grants? If you had federal or state aid, you have to meet satisfactory academic progress in order to continue receiving it. If you haven’t passed a certain percentage of classes, the school isn’t allowed to give you those grants.
