financial aid for int'l transfers

Hey everyone,
I am an exchange student at Wash U and I like it so much here that I'm trying to apply as an international transfer student. But even if I am admitted I won't be able to stay here unless I receive a lot of financial aid from Wash U. How much do international transfers usually receive? I keep hearing that decisions are taken on an individual, case-by-case basis and that there is no range within which they have to stay in terms of fin aid, but do you have any examples in mind of international transfers getting full tuition coverage? Thanks

even if someone had that data, it wouldn't help to present it to you. no two people are alike, and no two people receive the same financial aid package. it's a very individual basis and depends on what you need. hearing what someone else got (whether it's $0 or full tuition) won't help YOU, because your family's situation won't match anyone else's.

if you are lucky enough to be admitted, it means that they want you on campus and should do everything they can to make that happen financially.

you should call the financial aid office and talk with a financial aid counselor. they're probably going to be your best resource.

Great answer keepitcoolidge. Your explanation is spot on.
