<p>I received good money from SB, peanuts from UCLA. But I opted for the better school with less money offered. UCs are pretty poor in terms of financial aid if you are middle class.</p>
<p>Key word is OOS, SaltyBruin. Basically, no, you'd end up taking out 80-100K in loans at OOS UCLA if you follow their suggested loan amounts. You should expect way better packages at USC, Claremont, and Loyola relative to UCs. If you're regents it's negligible since its subtracting your EFC from total amount it costs to attend, I think.</p>
