<p>I applied to CMU ED and I'm requesting financial aid.</p>
<p>Basically, all I sent them were:</p>
<p>Common App
Supplement
Long essay
Short essay
ED agreement
Application fee waiver</p>
<p>My school sent my transcripts, my teachers sent my recs.</p>
<p>I didn't send the CMU Financial Aid app. Was I supposed to send that in?</p>
<p>Cause if I was, that's a problem lol.</p>
<p>It is a general philosophy that in order to get something, you have to apply for it, else how would any one know that you request it? </p>
<p>An 'application fee waiver' should flag your app. But with thousands of applications, paper work does get shuffled. For all we know when CMU receives your packet, the paper work gets sorted into piles. </p>
<p>Best you can do is to send the request of FA ASAP-with mail tracking.</p>
<p>I think you can find their financial aid app online. Call the admissions or financial aid dept. and ask! My d is a first year there and when I had a question they were both very helpful.</p>
<p>I'm pretty sure your ok. I applied ED too and I checked the box where it said will need financial aid. I know they use the FAFSA and the fafsa for 08-09 year isn't out yet or at least when i applied it wasnt.</p>
<p>i dont think their own school form is out yet. i emailed about a month ago and they told me that they don't start that process until january or february. i guess ill wait for fafsa and that.</p>
