<p>I'm going to transfer in a year or two to a college here in CA. My parents make roughly 57k a year and this year I made about 17k from working. Am I screwed on financial aid? And is it better off for next year to not work as much to bring up my financial need? I want to plan out my future with a good idea so I know what to do. I extremely appreciate any help from anyone. <p>It’s never a good idea to work less to try to get more financial aid. You aren’t guaranteed more aid if you earn less money, but if you work more you ARE guaranteed to earn more money to put toward school. That’s my two cents, anyway.</p>
