I am an incoming freshmen and I have a couple questions about financial aid. I have an EFC of 0, but according to my e-bill, I have to still pay $5,127.88 after federal pell grant, university of california grant, and the incoming freshmen scholarship. The 5,127.88 is per quarter and includes room & board as well as registration fees. Am I expected to pay this all on my own? Or will I get more financial aid in the future to cover it for me?

mine still hasn’t arrived yet :(. Do they send out all at once or waves by waves?

If financial aid doesn’t cover the cost then you need to take out student loans, or see if you can get any scholarships.

I was wondering the same thing too. Should I just wait another week for the financial aid to come or just call?

You should call. With an EFC of 0 you shouldn’t have to pay nearly that much. You should update this thread after you do call too so it can help others with answers. When I was a first year, I didn’t have to pay nearly that much after aid although fees have skyrocketed

Cal grant hasn’t kicked in for you yet, plus government loans.
