i live in kansas..... dasdhgasu8dsa i am really hoping i get more than 10 cents. i mean, 15 cents is generous...

My friend got $250 from Hopkins. Can you believe that? If I got $250, I'd probably go down and slap the financial aid people in the face.

$250?? hahahahahaha, that's kind of funny

Is that possible? Is your friend a millionaire?

haha, that's like a cruel joke. Like the financial aid folk were like: "you know, this guy can easily afford the tuition and everything, but I think it would be really funny if we just threw $250 his way......you know like a stripper".

I've heard the crew at JHU can be like that.

Pet peeve of mine-

threw is not spelled through

throw is not spelled through

Math major? :p

what are you talking about, I never spelled it "through"

Pah!.....ridiculous.

No, I'm an English Grammar major.

His parents aren't millionaires, just middle-class suburbanites. I'm thinking their thought process was: "Well, we've got a leftover $250, and we can't spend it on booze, so let's give it to Ben. Hurrah!"

it would have been funnier if they gave him $666

And would reveal an interesting philosophy behind the religious affiliations of JHU.

I think it would have been hilarious if they sent him a letter and included 3 pennies in it, and a letter saying "Our bad."

Can't edit that one, HA!

That's odd... Hopkins gave me enough to buy a crappy house, kind of like the one I'm in right now.

hahaha, damn........you got me. I think I just through up from my own disgust of my illiteracy.

Haha, I can't believe I'm getting caught in one of these thread ruining conversations. I feel like a loser.

maybe they have straw huts as dorms?

That can't be, there have been too many Big Bad Wolf problems in ChiTown.

our contribution plus our son's offered loans are approximately equal to our EFC. We got a big grant. Both Columbia and Chicago have offered about the same............still waiting on Cornell. The bottom line is it isn't going to cost any more out of our pocket than it will to go to our top state university and we are happy.
