Financial Aid Not Processed.. Don't Know How To Fix It

Hi, two weeks ago I submitted my FAFSA and got a confirmation email saying my FAFSA “was successfully submitted,” and that I’d get a follow up email when my FAFSA was processed, but I never got that email. So yesterday I tried logging back into my FAFSA account, only to find it say to create a new FAFSA for either the 2016-2017 or 2017-2018 school year.

I went to school and asked my college counselor for help, and she ended up being able to login perfectly fine and found out that my FAFSA wasn’t processed because I didn’t sign the FAFSA using my FSA ID, however it wouldn’t let me login using my FSA ID, no matter what I tried. I know my FSA ID, I even tried to change my password to get it. In the end, I’m still not able to get into it, and I can’t go home and login because it leads me back to the start a new FAFSA. Is there anything I could do? Thank you.

Start a new one…and submit that…and don’t forget to sign it…and have your parent do so as well…electronically.

Or call the FAFSA help line. It can be something minor like a space in the wrong place or your name missing a letter. You can also try using a different browser, like Firefox instead of Safari.

Couldn’t the FA person just let you sign it while you were there, and in the system?
