Financial Aid Officers and Common App?

Hi,

I know that for need blind schools, the admissions officers do not look at the CSS profile or your financial information when determining whether or not you, the applicant, will be accepted or not. However, I was wondering if the financial aid officers who review the CSS profile will look at the Common Application for extra curriculars and test scores as well? Or do financial aid officers solely look at the CSS profile and give money based on how much your family needs and not how well you do in school?

Thank you!

Someone posted a very good explanation of how it generally works in this recent thread: see the link in the first answer

The FA officer will try to fit you to scholarships available. For that, it may depends on your credential like test scores and EC.
