Financial Aid packet deadline and waitlist offer

Hey everyone!

So I got accepted to UCI for Fall 2016 and I received a financial aid packet that I still need to accept. However, I got waitlisted from UCD and I’m still waiting from them. Due to this, I’m not entirely sure where I’m going to be headed this fall, and that’s why I don’t want to accept any financial aid yet.

Let’s just say I accepted my UCI financial aid, but I get accepted off of UCD’s waitlist. Would I be disqualified from receiving any sort of aid from UCD, or would my aid just translate differently to UCD?

Each UC handles their own Financial Aid services independently of each other. What one school offers could be extremely different than what another university offers. Why? Because each student body is different, financially.

What won’t change is the federal aid and state aid. If UCD still has other funds available and you are eligible, they may offer some funding.
