Katia, the advice to calm down is good advice. The deadlines are enforced, mostly, for the students' applications. If you and your parents get the financial aid stuff in as soon as you can, it will probably be ok. However, you really need to be open to other schools, even though your heart is set on Chicago. Even if everything were done early or on time, the way college admissions is going these days, getting in is very competitive. Please try to expand your horizons a bit, just for your own sanity and reduction of stress! You will do fine wherever you end up. I know it's very stressful; our hearts are with you...

Thanks so much guys. i was just ahving a pretty disgusting day. Sending in the stuff and then leaving a message with the Office today.

Don't worry though- I like all my other schools, I just really prefer this one. I swear my app list goes from the incredibly selective to the semi-selective to matches, to safe matches, to safeties that are really safeties. If you chec out my old posts, there's a balanced list.

Although I'm sure lots of people make practical decisions though that is probably a good idea, I just feel that undergrad is the time of my life for ME, not my career or my family or my future family.

Thank you so much!
