so i have money on my bar account disbursed (fees already paid, so this is like money for books, etc) how do u get this money? do u get a check or something? where can u get it?

Do you have Bruin Direct? You get a refund via check or it gets deposited to your bank account a couple days after the 20th I think. (Not sure what date; the rest is true though.)

whats bruin direct?

Bruin Direct is a service that you sign up for that deposits your refund(s) into your bank account automatically. Googlesearch it.

and you get mailed your check. Not pick-up.

so wait, they start refunds on the 20th?

so that means that if i sign up tomorrow, i wont get it.. cuz it supposedly takes 4-6 weeks after u complete it to get it through bruin direct

You will get your refund through a check sent to you instead of having it directly deposited into your bank account. Either way, you get the refund. My G-d, I am a liar:
Was it the 20th last year? OK sure! The rest is correct. Nope, I’m just thinking about the 20th in general:
That’s helpful too.

i will have to call that number tomorrow to see if i can get bruin direct asap lol. Thanks for the info!

You’re better off just waiting for the check to come by mail. You have to send in a personal check and that’ll take 2-3 days (not to mention the actual processing time when it gets there).

If the check comes after you leave for the dorms and you live far away, just have someone deposit it in the bank for you.

well, when do they start refuding (aka sending the checks)?

I’m sure they start sending the checks about the same time they start refunding money through BruinDirect.

Last year, I got my refund in my bank account 4 business days after the disbursements.
