Financial Aid suspension.

I lost my financial aid at the end of spring semester '10, i appealed and got it back for fall semester '10. I was told I had to make all C's; I ended up with a D in English, but I raised my GPA of 1.52 to 2.10 and I went from academic probation to good academic standing. When I called to see if I was off of financial aid suspension, I was told that I wasn't. Is there anything I could do to get my financial aid back since I am back in good standards?

P.S.- I know someone that had to make 2 B's and he made a C in one of his classes but he also raised his GPA up to good standards and he got his financial aid back.

Have you asked this question in the Financial Aid Forum? The folks there will have useful ideas for you.

Apparently you are not meeting the school’s standard for satisfactory academic progress, or didn’t meet the terms of their probationary aid. You need to reread what they gave you and/or what’s posted on their website regarding SAP.

If your current gpa is meeting standards but the D in English is the problem, see if they offer English as an intercession class. You’ll have to pay extra for it, but it may be worth it. You should probably be talking to your advisor this week as many winter break classes will start next Monday.
