Financial Aid without any parental help

I will be applying to law schools in the 2007-2008 schedule and was wondering if anyone here has any experience with financing such an education without parental help. I know law schools calculate financial independence differently and that they expect my parents to contribute but since my parents are inherently biased against law and are very stubborn, I do not expect any financial help from them at all past college.

How difficult is it to finance a law degree without parental aid? At my age, I'm expecting most schools to force my parents to give as much money as they can and our household income is 80k. Are there any private sector funds that are available for the unwilling parent?

ever hear of something called loans?

I just wanted to familiarize myself with the process, since I'm assuming other lawyers like this might have gone through something similar if they were financially independent. Like which are the best places to get low-interest loans, various types of things law students do to pay the bills which might not be commonly known, etc.

you apply for loans just like you apply for undergrad loans but your loans will be taken out on your behalf, unlike when in college you also have the option of the parental loan.

You can take out enough in loans to cover tuition and living expenses, my sister does this and lives fine and she goes to an expensive private law school.
