Financial Aid

S called and was told that there are discrepancies between our FASFA and CSS. A letter should be here “in the next few days.” I understand the pressure they have at this time of year, but since they’ve had our docs (and deposit) since February I don’t know why it is only now an issue. Hopefully we’ll get it soon and can rush this through.

those who were chosen as alternates for endowed scholarships - how are your FA packages?

My D is an alternate for an endowed scholarship and her package looks pretty good. If you haven’t received anything, I think you should call and get your information via phone.

those who were chosen as alternates for endowed scholarships - how are your FA packages?

I was chosen as an alternate and my FA package was much more than I thought I was going to get. In fact, it was more than the two endowed scholarships I was eligible for (I was eligible for the Susan Scholarship and the John L. Georgeo Scholarship to give you a general idea). I was also offered a sub Stafford Loan and unsub Stafford Loan. And I received work study which was nice. Hopefully, that will make getting a job on campus fairly easy.

^^^ did it say in your FA by year anything about the endowed scholarships?

No it didn’t mention the scholarship at all…I guess if she was selected it would be posted. Was it posted for you?

^^^ did it say in your FA by year anything about the endowed scholarships?

It did not. I’m pretty sure that’s an entirely separate thing. When I spoke to someone with Admissions about it, they told me that if any alternates are selected/ if I am selected that the people will most likely be notified after May 1.
