Financial Aid

I received the email that my financial aid award package should now be available at OnTrack, I log in to a message that says they are still working on it (and, my check list indicates all information has been received). Has anyone else received the same email yet still has no information posted?

If nothing shows up until Monday give the Financial aid office a call or shoot them an email. When ever I emailed them the responded pretty quickly- within a day.

Thanks. I did email and they said it should be there. Yet, it is not. I’ll wait until Monday to see if it has changed.

I haven’t gotten an email yet, so I would assume they are continually updating profiles. I’m sure yours will be updated soon since you have gotten the email already.

The school’s website says financial aid decision for new students will be mailed “the first week of April.”

Nothing here yet-Elon is the only 1 of D’s schools to not have a FA statement yet

Trying to get this to the top again. Anyone heard anything? FA decisions are supposed to done this week, but OnTrack is showing nothing and our mailbox has been empty.

this is getting ridiculous-does ANYONE have anything yet?

I got nothin. Fingers crossed for tomorrow?

I sent an email asking questions about the Endowed Scholarship and was told “The Office of Financial Planning is feverishly packaging our first year students and should have your aid package to you before April 15th.” So maybe we should stop checking the OnTrack site so often as it’s probably going to be at least a week before anything is there. :/

thanks for checking on that.

what about if you didn’t apply for endowed?

Just called- if you’re an alternate for Fellows the FA is on hold and you should hear by end of next week

If you didn’t apply for endowed, you should hear by the end of next week. The had an increase of 26% of families to apply for aid this year and they had not anticipated it taking this long.

:( i was hoping to get the FA and commit this weekend.

oh well. would the increase in families applying for FA affect how much grant money/loans each student receives, do you think?

I really hope it doesn’t affect the amount they give too much. I am already really worried about my financial package.

Today my ontrack page was updated to say estimated funds. All it had was recommended stafford loans and had the breakdown of unsubsidized and subsidized. It said recommended loans are not included in the total estimated funds awarded. Ad the total estimated awards box is empty.

Does that mean all I’m getting are stafford loans or has the FA office not finished their first-year packages?

is yours on onTrack? is it under the financial aid by term/year or is it somewhere else?

Those bums still dont have my financial aid package up. FA is one of the most important things I’m looking at when deciding where I go and they’re taking forever.

I am following this conversation with great interest. We were at the Elon Junior Open House yesterday and one of the presentations was on admissions and financial aid. They repeatedly made the point to adhere to deadlines. Seems they may be having a bit of trouble with that concept themselves! It does seem very late to me - given that tomorrow is already April 11th. Hope it works out for those of you still waiting. I would be interested to hear your EFC and what the FA award turned out to be if you are willing to share that info.
